"Moon and Gun"
Materials: Acrylics colors and markers
Process: Drawing out the gun then coloring it. Also mixing up different colors to make the background.
Purpose: This represent the gun that Vietnamese soldiers used during the war. On the real gun, which is displayed in the "Ho Chi Minh" museum, there were marks of real blood. Taking inspiration from the gun, I drew the drip of blood with the background of the forest. Back in the day , we would use the method called guerrilla to catch the enemies. We would use the dark and the color of the leaves as our advantage to win the war. The moon is the guide for the soldiers to fight in the night so the picture of the moon always comes with the gun.

"The evolution"
Materials: Newspapers, water colors, and markers.
Process: Drawing, coloring, collapsing the photos together.
Purpose: I wanna show people that how long the Vietnam war took for a person's life. As you can see, there is a picture of a girl, who was 18 and she volunteered to be in the war. During the war, she saw a lot of sadness, people suffered from the poverty, the pressure of answering questions about the information to the enemies. Basically just the separation of families and the nostalgia for the return of their children and the promise for the peace of Vietnam. This evolution took so long that this girl fought until she was old and that's the ending of sufferance.

Although this is the short slogan, as you read, you can totally understand what we had gone through during the war and the pain we have gained after the war such as disabled people with the Agent Orange from the bombs, the loss of the mother's children and the implications of the war. However, with the solidarity of Vietnamese people, we have worked together to bring Vietnam's future for the better.
